Production & Quality Capability

Own lines, partner plants, and what we outsource — stated by site

Four production lines, two of them ours and two delivered through the plants we invest in, plus a short list of what we outsource and what we buy in. Every capability below says where it runs and which certificates back it, because a buyer should not have to guess which part of a supplier's range it actually makes.

4 production lines Plant extract and raw powder, natural vitamins, plant protein peptide, OEM.
20–60 t per batch Low to medium value products; high value runs in tens to hundreds of kg.
3–7 working days Standard production cycle; 7–30 days for custom specifications.
SGS & Eurofins Batch submission testing and arbitration re-testing on request.
01 / production lines

Four lines, and what leaves them

Each line is dedicated to a product form rather than a single product, which is why the same line can carry a standard grade and a customer-specific specification in the same quarter.

Line 01 · Own capability

Plant extract & raw powder

Extraction, concentration, drying and milling for botanical materials, including the broccoli material that starts on the cultivation base held by the plants we invest in.

Extraction Raw powder

Line 02 · Own capability

Natural vitamins

Natural-source vitamin grades, including the oil and powder formats used in softgel, capsule and powder blend applications.

Vitamin D3 oil K2 MK-7 powder

Line 03 · Own capability

Neutral plant protein peptide

Peptide production from plant protein sources, with the granulation and micropellet steps that follow it on the same site.

Peptide Granulation

Line 04 · Contract manufacturing

OEM production

Customer-branded production to an agreed specification, including liposomal and micropellet formats, where the batch is released against the customer's approved sample and specification.

OEM Liposomal Micropellet

Why the site matters: the same product form can be made in more than one place, and the certificate that covers it belongs to the site, not to the catalogue. Section 04 sets out which certificate stands behind which site.
02 / who makes what

Own sites, invested plants, and what we outsource

Three arrangements sit behind the range, and we would rather label them than blur them. The label describes the site, not the commercial relationship: a product made in a plant we invest in is still made in that plant.

Capability Where it runs What it covers
Cultivation base Invested plant Own broccoli and botanical base held by the plants we invest in, in Shanxi and Shaanxi.
Extraction Own / invested line Botanical extraction and concentration for standard and custom specifications.
Granulation Own / invested line Granule formation, particle size control and flow properties for blending.
Liposomal production Own / invested line Liposomal and co-loading formats, including plant-derived exosome work.
Micropellet production Own / invested line Micropellet and microsphere formats for capsule and sachet applications.
Microencapsulated powder Outsourced Spray-dried and coated powders produced by partner plants to our specification.
Synthetic functional ingredients Outsourced Synthesised actives produced by partner plants, released against our specification and COA.
Minerals and part of the functional range Traded Bought in and resold, with our own specification, COA and document set attached.
Own or invested line — we specify, run or directly fund the equipment Outsourced or traded — made or sourced by a third party
How the investment works: our position in the manufacturing plants is built through equipment and production line investment rather than ownership of the entity, so the lines run to our specification while the plant remains a separate company. That is why we mark those rows as invested rather than own.
03 / capacity & cycle

Capacity, batch size and production cycle

Figures are given as a range because they follow the product, not the site. The two bands below cover the whole range: what is sold by the tonne, and what is sold by the kilogram.

Low to medium value products A few hundred to a few thousand tonnes a year Annual capacity, with batches of 20–60 tonnes per run. Typical of commodity extracts, carriers and high-volume powder grades.
High value products A few hundred kilograms to a few tonnes a year Annual capacity, with batches of tens to hundreds of kilograms per run. Typical of premium actives and speciality formats such as liposomals.
Production type Cycle time What decides the date
Standard products 3–7 working days Stock position of the material and the current loading of the line.
Custom specifications 7–30 days Raw material lead time and the position in the production queue.
OEM batches Confirmed per order The approved sample and specification, packaging supply and the agreed release date.
Scale, stated plainly: capacity is stable and repeatable at the batch sizes above, which is what allows a validated process to be re-run rather than re-invented. The date that binds an order is the one confirmed against the production schedule on the quotation, not the range on this page.
04 / certificates by site

Which certificate sits behind which site

A quality system certificate covers a facility and a scope, so it can only be claimed for material made in that facility. The table separates what we hold from what the manufacturing plant holds, and names the scope in each case.

Certificate Held by Scope
ISO 22000 Keep Ingredients Food safety management for the production lines we operate.
HACCP Keep Ingredients Hazard analysis and critical control points across those same lines.
FDA establishment registration Keep Ingredients Facility registration for materials supplied into the United States, with prior notice handled per shipment.
Export licence, zinc materials Keep Ingredients Licence covering the export of zinc-based raw materials.
Business licence Keep Ingredients Corporate registration of the supplying entity.
Halal Partner plant Certification held by the manufacturing plant; available for most product lines, per product.
Kosher Partner plant Held for the materials that carry it; certification for our own lines is in progress.
Organic, and other destination-specific schemes Quoted per product Confirmed at quotation stage for the product and the market, with the certificate attached to the offer.
Certificates marked “partner plant” are held by the manufacturing facility, not by Keep Ingredients. We say that explicitly because a certificate applies to the site and the scope named on it, and we do not want a buyer to assume wider coverage than the certificate gives. Full copies, with the scope and the expiry date visible, are sent on request.
05 / laboratory

In-house testing, and where the conclusion comes from

Our laboratory exists to control the process, and its results are used that way. The conclusion a customer relies on is the batch COA, supported by a third-party report where the market or the contract requires one.

Equipment classes in our laboratory

What internal quality control can measure

The laboratory is equipped for the routine control of botanical extracts and the formats that follow them. These are equipment categories, which is what we can state publicly.

  • HPLC
  • GC
  • UV-Vis
  • AAS
  • Microbiological testing
  • Physical & physical-chemical tests
Where the conclusion comes from

Internal for control, external for release

In-house results steer the process and flag a deviation before the batch leaves the line. The certificate that a customer receives and audits is the batch COA with its test methods stated, and a third-party report where one applies.

We do not present internal results as an accredited external conclusion, and we do not claim accreditation our laboratory does not hold.

Third-party laboratories we work with

Partner laboratory

SGS

Used for routine batch submission testing and for arbitration re-testing where a result is contested. The report carries the batch number and the methods used, so it can be matched against our COA line by line.

Partner laboratory

Eurofins

Used on the same two bases. Where a destination market or a customer's own quality agreement names a laboratory, that laboratory is used instead and written into the specification at quotation stage.

Two names, two uses: batch submission testing is arranged before shipment so the report travels with the goods; arbitration re-testing happens when our result and the customer's result disagree, and the agreed laboratory decides. Both are stated on the quotation when they apply.
06 / batch control

Six points between incoming material and the COA

A batch moves through the same six control points whether it is a commodity grade or a customer specification. Each point produces a record, and the records are what an audit reads.

Incoming materialIdentity, assay and heavy metals checked; supplier COA verified against the specification before release to the line.
In-process controlLine parameters checked at defined points. Internal results steer the process, not the release decision.
Batch samplingA sample from the same lot, fully labelled, retained for two years before it moves to sealed archive.
Internal testingAssay, purity, heavy metals, microbiology and physical tests against the agreed specification.
Third-party checkSGS or Eurofins on request, or as arbitration where a result is contested.
COA releaseBatch COA issued when testing completes and sent for confirmation before shipment.
Why the retained sample matters: two years of retention means a disagreement six months after delivery is settled against material from the same lot, not against a fresh sample taken later. That single practice removes most of the argument from a claim.
07 / beyond the lines

What we buy in, and why we still price it well

Not everything in the catalogue comes off our lines. Minerals and part of the functional ingredient range are traded, and saying so costs us nothing, because the reason they are competitive has nothing to do with pretending we make them.

Bought in and resold

Minerals and selected functional ingredients

These are sourced from established producers and carry our specification, our batch COA and the same document set as the products we make. Where a product is traded rather than produced, we say so when quoting.

Why the price holds

Supply chain, not manufacturing

Years inside this supply chain means we know which producers hold the capacity, which certificates they carry and where the price sits in a given quarter. On traded lines that knowledge is the margin, and it is passed on rather than kept.

The short version: own and invested lines for extraction, granulation, liposomals, micropellets, vitamins, peptides and OEM; partner plants for microencapsulated powder and synthetic functional ingredients; trading for minerals and part of the functional range. Every row in section 02 can be pointed at a site and a certificate.
08 / FAQ

The five questions a technical buyer asks first

Short answers below; the sections above carry the detail. Anything not covered here goes to the technical team with your specification.

Do you own the production lines that make your products?

Partly, and we say which part. Extraction, granulation, liposomal production and micropellet production run on lines we own or on lines we built inside the plants we invest in, including the broccoli cultivation base those plants hold in Shanxi and Shaanxi.

Microencapsulated powder and synthetic functional ingredients are outsourced to partner plants. Minerals and part of the functional ingredient range are traded. The page marks every capability with the site that delivers it.

Which certificates do you hold, and which belong to a partner factory?

Held by Keep Ingredients: FDA establishment registration, ISO 22000, HACCP, the export licence covering zinc materials and our business licence.

Held by the manufacturing partner plants rather than by us: Halal, and Kosher for the materials that carry it, with Kosher certification for our own lines in progress. Any certificate that belongs to a partner plant is marked as such so the scope is never implied to be wider than it is.

What are your capacity, batch size and lead time?

Capacity depends on the product. For low to medium value products it runs from a few hundred to a few thousand tonnes a year, in batches of 20–60 tonnes. For high value products it runs from a few hundred kilograms to a few tonnes a year, in batches of tens to hundreds of kilograms.

Standard products take 3–7 working days; custom production takes 7–30 days depending on raw material and the production queue, confirmed against the order schedule.

Can I have third-party test reports for my batch?

Yes. Every batch ships with its own Certificate of Analysis. Beyond that we work with SGS and Eurofins on two bases: routine batch submission testing, and arbitration re-testing where an in-house result is contested.

Technical and quality documents, including the specification, TDS and MSDS, are sent within 2 working days of the request.

Can you run OEM production and custom specifications?

Yes. We run an OEM line alongside our own production, and custom specifications, meaning a special carrier, potency, particle size, dosage form or packaging, are reviewed against the production run before we confirm.

Custom specifications start at 25 kg, and the MOQ, lead time and cost for a specific configuration are given in writing on the quotation.

Next step

Send your spec. Get the plant, its certificate and a COA you can audit.

Name the product, and we will say which plant makes it, which certificate covers that plant, and attach a batch COA with the methods stated.
